The system<br>integrates a novel LiDAR sensor based on Single Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) technology with a custom-designed unmanned surface vehicle (USV), enabling non-contact depth measurements in conditions where<br>conventional sonar or optical methods are unreliable.<br>The project builds on prior laboratory and freshwater deployments of the LiDAR system, and extends its capabilities to more complex and optically challenging environments. A critical innovation lies in adapting the sensor<br>and platform integration for industrial field conditions, including environmental hardening, embedded processing constraints, and mission autonomy.<br>Meeting the demanding requirements of the industrial environment will also allow for the application of this system on sea waters, where operating conditions are similar.
